CARS.COM X LONE RANGER partnered with Disney's The Lone Ranger to drive increased consumer awareness and summer foot traffic to their dealerships. They wanted to get dealers excited about this fun, highly visible promotion. But they were challenged by both a tight timeline and limited availability of Lone Ranger assets given Disney's licensing restrictions. By combining the silhouette of a mask with the headlights of a car, we were able to create an iconic graphic that was undeniably The Lone Ranger and uniquely Supported by messaging that linked to the brand pillar of drama-free car buying, we not only created excitement for the film, but reminded dealers that they themselves were the heroes when it came to selling cars.
