In December 2020, the bushfires across Australia have cast a shadow on what should be the most festive time of year.

To help, we partnered with artist James Dive to create The Burnt Christmas tree, an installation created out of materials from fire-stricken areas such as burnt logs, branches, bike wheel, fire alarm etc.

While viewing the tree, onlookers are encouraged to listen to an audio tour reflecting the experiences of Australians whose lives have been thrown into chaos by the fires, and donate to help them rebuild their lives.
